Coordinated measures across Europe only viable way to fight the virus and safeguard tourism businesses: HOTREC issues joint position paper
Following the worsening of the epidemiological situation in Europe, on 22 November 2021, HOTREC joined other stakeholders in the travel and tourism community in urging the Institutions and the Member States to align and coordinate travel restrictions ahead of the coming festive season.

HOTREC welcomes the prolongment of the State aid Temporary Framework
Today the European Commission announced the extension of the State aid Temporary Framework until 30 June 2022. This decision will allow the Member States to extend their support schemes and ensure that businesses in need will not be suddenly cut off from the necessary aid.

THE HOSPITALITY SECTOR JOINS “CLOSE THE GLASS LOOP”
The European hospitality sector – represented by HOTREC – joins “Close the Glass Loop” – the major multi-stakeholder stewardship programme for glass packaging launched in June 2020.
